1. Wildwoods International Kite Festival

Location: Beach at Rio Grande Avenue and inside the Wildwoods Convention Center

Some have called the Wildwoods International Kite Festival “a full-blown kite festival on steroids.” Held every Memorial Day weekend, the four-day festival features a kite competition, illuminated night kite fly, games, and other family-friendly events. Watch large, inflatable kites soar above the beautiful Jersey Shore beaches. Or, pick up a kite to fly on your own or with family and friends. If you’ve never flown a kite before, the festival provides a great opportunity to learn how to do just that.

2. Barefoot Country Music Fest

Location: Wildwood Beach, between the two Morey’s Piers

Get wild on the beach at the Barefoot Country Music Fest. The biggest country festival in the northeast, this event takes place over three days and four nights and features live performances from dozens of country musicians. See up-and-coming artists and some of country music’s top stars perform at the festival. The Barefoot Country Music Place is held every June. 3. Wildwoods’ Baby Parade

Location: Starting at Wildwoods Convention Center and finishing at Morey’s Piers Mariners Landing

Dating back to 1909, the Wildwoods’ Baby Parade is a yearly tradition for many families. The parade, which takes place in July, challenges parents and kids to let their creative juices flow and have fun together. Participants stroll at least 10 blocks as they make their way north on the Wildwood Boardwalk on Cedar Avenue. Once they’re done, judges present awards to the cutest baby boy and girl, best-themed group, top small and large float, and individual best dressed. It’s free to register and participate, with the sign-up link shared on their Facebook page each year.

4. Hawaiian Luau Experience

Location: ICONA Diamond Beach

Get ready for a thrilling tropical evening! Held in summertime, our Hawaiian Luau Experience features hula dancers, fire and sword performances, a pig roast, and a Polynesian buffet. The event is open to the public, so you do not need to stay with us to attend. If you do, ICONA guests receive a special discount on adult tickets.

5. Wildwoods Food & Music Festival

Location: Downtown Wildwood

Dine, shop, and play at the Wildwoods Food & Music Festival, hosted by the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce. Formerly called the Wildwoods Seafood and Music Festival, the free event features live music, craft vendors, and, of course, delicious food. While you’re here, sample cuisine from some of the top-rated local restaurants. You can also try your luck at the event’s pie-eating contest. If you have children, stop by the Kids’ Korner, which offers games, inflatable bounce houses, and other fun activities for kids.

6. Cans & Clams Celebration

Spend an autumn evening under the stars at our Cans & Clams Celebration at Star Beach Bar. Our Diamond Beach celebration includes live music, games, and food stations serving seafood and barbecue favorites. The event is free, open to the public, and held rain or shine. Register ahead of time for a chance to win one of many great prizes – including a grand prize cozy season stay plus dinner for two at Coastal Blue!

7. Family Holiday Beach Bonfire

Location: 1st & Surf Avenue in North Wildwood
When: Black Friday in November

Kick off the holiday season at the Family Holiday Beach Bonfire. Hosted by the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Company #1, the event is held on Black Friday year after year. It brings Santa Claus and other winter wonderland characters to the Jersey Shore. Listen to holiday music in front of a bonfire on the beach. There’s also free photos with Santa Claus. The bonfire is part of their five weekends of holiday fun, with a shopping village, parade, and more holiday fun to enjoy throughout the season.
