The safety and comfort of our guests and ICONA family have always been a top priority and will continue to be our key focus. We believe water soothes the soul and we’re so pleased to be able to welcome you to the healing salt air of Cape May County!
Our goal is to make ICONA a place of warmth, welcome, and love where our guests experience peace and make memories that last a lifetime.
ICONA prides itself on cleanliness and our already world-class cleaning and sanitizing processes have been meticulously reviewed and enhanced to help keep our guests and team members as safe as possible.
Just some updates to our health & safety processes, ICONA Protocol+, include:
- Enhanced training for team members on hand-washing, cleanliness, and hygiene expectations
- All team members & guests must follow all NJ state guidelines
- Hand sanitizer dispensers will be available for guests and team members throughout ICONA common areas
- New and improved EPA registered cleaners and disinfectants known to kill bacteria and viruses
- Mini hand sanitizer will be added to in-room guest amenities with extras available for purchase
- Please note: due to the increased cleaning and sanitation requirements check-in time may be pushed back on high-occupancy dates. Please bear with us as our team works diligently to help keep you safe.

Is your cancelation policy going to change?
ICONA’s hotel cancellation policy may be found here.
If you are faced with unique circumstances, please contact the ICONA property you booked with directly and our team will be happy to work with you. If you have just tested positive for COVID and are unable to make your original reservation date, but are already outside of the cancellation window, we will work with you on a full credit for a future stay within the next year.
Please note: If you have booked through a 3rd party website such as Expedia or Booking.com, ICONA is unable to edit or cancel your reservation at the property level. You must update your reservation through the customer service of the company you used to book your stay, then team ICONA is happy to assist in any way we can.
Do guests have to wear masks?
No, masks are optional at all locations. As of Friday, May 28th, 2021, in accordance with NJ state guidelines, fully vaccinated guests and ICONA team members will no longer be required to wear face masks or coverings in indoor or outdoor spaces starting.
Guests and team members may continue to wear masks should they feel more comfortable doing so.
Will there be housekeeping service?
Yes, we will continue to offer housekeeping service. Any guests who do not wish to have team members enter their room during their stay may alert the front desk upon check-in.
Please note: all refresh / stay-overs rooms are cleaned once all of the new check-in rooms are complete for the day. (Generally around 4 pm) If this timing conflicts with your schedule please speak with the front desk and they’ll be happy to communicate with housekeeping regarding the best time to refresh your guest room during your stay.

Are restaurants & bars open?
Yes, all of our restaurants & bars are open for both indoor and outdoor dining and drinks.
As of Friday, May 28th, 2021, in accordance with Governor Murphy’s new executive order patrons will no longer be required to stay in seats while ordering, eating, or drinking. This means we can now serve you at our bars!

During the high-season, ICONA Cape May’s shuttle is happy to arrange a ride to ICONA Diamond Beach so that guests may enjoy the dining options. Please schedule with the front desk during your stay.
Is your pool open?
Our outdoor heated pools are open seasonally from mid-May through October, weather permitting. Small pool towels are provided. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beach towels.

ICONA chair & *umbrella beach service is available to our hotel guests seasonally from mid-May through mid-September, weather permitting. There are currently no social distancing requirements in place on the beach.
ICONA Avalon, ICONA Windrift & ICONA Cape May beaches are currently open to the public for sunbathing, swimming, and other activities.
Guests who do not wish to use ICONA chairs are welcome to bring their own beach chairs should they prefer that option; our team is still happy to assist. All guests are encouraged to bring their own beach towels.
*We’re sorry! ICONA Cape May is unable to offer umbrellas at this time. If guests bring their own umbrellas our Cape May beach attendants are happy to help set them up. Umbrella rentals through a 3rd party vendor are also available on Cape May’s beach for about $15 per day.
ICONA Diamond Beach’s large private beach will be closely monitored by team members. Guests must wear their ICONA wristbands to access the beach & our beach attendants will help you with ICONA chairs & umbrellas. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beach towels.
Are your fitness rooms open?
Yes, the fitness rooms at ICONA Avalon & ICONA Diamond Beach are now open.
ICONA Cape May guests may schedule a shuttle ride to ICONA Diamond Beach should they wish to utilize the fitness room. ICONA Windrift guests may utilize ICONA Avalon’s fitness room.
